Introducing the GARMS Series: SRT/ICW Armor Built for the Real World

Most armor buyers face the same tradeoff: go light and sacrifice protection, or go heavy and sacrifice mobility. The GTS GARMS series was designed to break that tradeoff — a three-plate SRT/ICW (In Conjunction With) lineup that delivers serious multi-threat protection in some of the thinnest, lightest packages on the market today.

All three models are made in the USA, tested to NIJ Standard 0101.07, and engineered to work in conjunction with NIJ 0101.07 HG2 or NIJ 0101.06 Level 3a soft armor. Drop testing is available as an option on every model in the line.

The Lineup

GARMS 1 is the entry point — a 2-pound multi-curve plate at just .60" thin that delivers RF1 ICW protection including M193, 7.62x39mm MSC, and 7.62x51mm M80. For standalone use it handles M193 and 5.56 lead ball threats. It's hard to find a more capable plate at this weight anywhere in the market.

The GARMS 2 steps up to RF2 ICW protection at 3.48 pounds, adding M855 to the ICW threat matrix and 7.62x39mm MSC standalone capability. At .60" thin it's barely thicker than the GARMS 1 despite the significant jump in ballistic performance. For buyers who want a plate that can run ICW at the RF2 level without the bulk of a full standalone plate, this is a compelling option.

GARMS 3 is the heavy hitter of the series — ICW RF3 protection including .30 M2AP armor-piercing, with standalone capability against M855, M855A1, M193, 7.62x39mm MSC, and 7.62x51mm M80. At 6 pounds and .70" thin it punches well above its weight class for what it covers.
